In 2019 I spiraled into a horrible depression after I was laid off from my job and life continued to get worse as I found out my husband who I have been with for 19 years at the time was having an online affair.

We are our own worst critics and I think this session really helped me go outside my comfort zone and understand that

I am beautiful and I did it for me.

I have never been a sexual or affectionate person because I get so down on myself. This experience let me pause and look at how unique and special I am in my own way.

I thought I'd be freaking out, and I just remember thinking to myself that I felt safe, I was having fun, and I felt calm.

I had so many unexpected emotions, but the one I didn’t expect was anger! It felt amazing to express that in such a powerful way. I also realized that it's ok to speak up for myself, and to always want better for myself.

This experience has definitely changed me. I realized that how I see myself is different from the way other people see me. That I do have magic within me.

I have always been amazed with Molly's work but I finally got the courage to do a boudoir session a couple months ago! My body has been in pain every day for the last 2 years (that I can remember). It started with my hands and it spread everywhere else and I can honestly say that I don't remember what its like to have a physically good day. I let this get in the way of a lot of things that I usually love to do and I let myself go into a dark places.

I am always that person that does for others. As a mom and wife it was always about caring for others. There was little to no time left for me. During my marriage I kind of lost who I was. I used to always do my hair, dress up, etc and it felt like leggings and messy mom buns were taking over. Even my friends kind of (nicely) told me I was looking a little frumpy. I’ve been following Molly’s fb page for quite some time and decided to take the plunge and try out boudoir photography. I wanted to see myself as the badass I was and as I found out I still am!

To be honest I was dreading it. I originally booked it for over the summer but many unfortunate personal events led me to rescheduling. Between these times I put on a lot of weight and didn't think anything could make me feel good about myself. But I was so wrong. Molly did a phenomenal job of bring out my inner sexy image through these pictures!

I wanted to see myself as others see me. It’s difficult to accept compliments because sometimes I just think people are being nice. I’ve also had multiple surgeries on my hips and wanted to show myself and others that pretty comes in scarred packages as well. Molly is a wizard with that camera and her artistry is awesome. I fucking look so pretty! I had a mini meltdown in my car after my reveal, so overwhelmed with my pics.

I was a little nervous. I read all of the inspiration from other clients, and thought, "I won't feel like that. I won't go nude. I won't cry at my pictures. They will just look like regular old me." Needless to say, I was a little negative about how I would react. BUT Oh my gosh, I did almost cry when I saw the pictures of myself! Some didn't even look like me! And I did end up naked! Every single thing other woman have said were right!

You don't realize just how much there is to love about yourself, until you see it in the eyes of Molly and her magic talent. IT'S 100% WORTH THE INVESTMENT! You only get one body and one life in this world. Why spend time and energy beating yourself down, when there's so many amazing things about yourself to love!

I was extremely nervous leading up to my session with Molly. I’m very reserved and conservative in regard to nudity and even opening up to people. Not only was I about to have minimal clothing on in front of the camera, but I had known Molly throughout our school years. Deep down I knew it wouldn’t be a problem but just thinking of that gave me additional anxiety leading up to my session. I kept telling myself that she’s a professional and reminded myself of how amazing her artwork truly is.

It was when I was fully nude that I laughed more, felt more connected with myself and was able to just breathe and relax and not think “how do I look?” One of my absolute favorite photos is the one of me fully nude and laughing. That photo means more to me than anyone could ever possibly begin to imagine.

I don’t think I’m saying doing this boudoir was gonna answer my prayers to make me confident and powerful but to let me SEE myself through the eye of another and see that the person from 20 years ago is still in there.

The confidence, the spirituality, the "I don’t care what you think of me" is still somewhere in there.

AND I SAW IT....

First off, my initial reason for scheduling my session was because I was supposed to be getting married. And that just isn’t in the cards yet. Secondly I put on twenty pounds due to quarantine, which of course made me beyond self conscious. I was literally disgusted with myself. I had a mental breakdown and CRIED on the way to my session.

I needed something to find my "why" reason again. Of course my why will always be my kids but you can't always be mom or you lose yourself completely. I needed something or someone to show me I'm still the queen that was buried deep down inside and forgotten about.

Signing yourself up for a boudoir session can be INTIMIDATING! Let us reassure you that all of these emotions you’re going through are completely normal! We are here to remind you that while these fears are common in almost every client who walks through our doors, the stories of what happens next remain equally reflective of one another…

I was going through some shit. I had been trying to find my way in the world. Trying to love myself. Being a mom means I'm giving myself to everyone & everything. It was so nice to do something for ME. To do something that helps ME. To do something that made ME feel sexy. To make ME feel like ME again.

I’m loud, mouthy, sassy, and strong-headed, but I’m also very passionate, loving, and caring. I’m more of someone’s shot of whiskey than a cup of tea, so I’m used to not being someone everyone knows how to get along with. I work my ass off on the night shift and the end goal is to become a flight nurse. No kids, no husband, no boyfriend even. It’s just my doggo and I, and that’s working okay for me so far.
