Through 2020 and 2021 I had some not great medical things happen, and some scary as hell “maybes” one of which was that heart crushing “C word”. Even with that being ruled out my body and mind were going through so much back-to-back trauma my brain could not compute that I was going to be ok!

Then, I lost what I felt was ALL of my femininity and had a hysterectomy in 2021, my body was failing me, and my mental health was following right behind it.

I knew I needed to process this all in a new way. So I dug deep, and for me that means secluding myself and writing it all out, burning or shredding the things that do not fit or are doing me an injustice. It is hard work, draining work, but it was work I needed to save my life.

There were things in my life I needed to improve upon and through that accountability and vulnerability, I was led to Molly.

I wanted a way to capture the work I had done physically in pictures, but also wanted them to show the emotion, the path, and the confidence I gained.

Boudoir sessions are becoming more and more popular among the mainstream these days but are boudoir photos worth it? Just 10 short years ago the words “Boudoir Photography” or “Boudoir Photos” were most likely met with a confused face and a head tilt. But chances are in 2022 you know someone who did a boudoir shoot for a wedding gift or, celebrated a divorce with one ;)

I was still consumed by recovery and getting back to my normal self, and what better way to do that than throwing on some lingerie and having some fun via Molly's camera?!

I was extremely nervous EVERY DAY leading up to my shoot, would I be satisfied with my body through the lens, would my face and body cooperate, so I would be seen as capable and beautiful?

Who I felt like on the inside was showing on the outside.

I felt like a HOTT SEXY BAD ASS! LOL It was incredible! Go Women! Go Empowerment!

I immediately wanted to do another session and take even more photos and get them in large prints and hang them all over my walls.

To women considering doing a boudoir session, just do it no matter what it is for! Even if you don't have someone to share the results with, seeing the results yourself will give you a different outlook on your life, body and mind.

Surprisingly during my boudoir session I felt wonderful and exhilarated, Molly helps you feel so confident!

There was one moment that sticks out the most, when Molly told me "Your Ass is Hot" :P

I was not expecting to feel confidence in my body and even days later still feeling confident.

In 2019 I spiraled into a horrible depression after I was laid off from my job and life continued to get worse as I found out my husband who I have been with for 19 years at the time was having an online affair.

Boudoir is everything the Divine Feminine Energy is and everything the Sacral needs to feel balanced. (No, it’s not going to magically cure you) BUT, somatic experiencing is a therapeutic haven for physical and mental/emotional change.

This couples boudoir session has allowed us to see each other through their eyes, and to love ourselves for who we are.

Doing a session as a couple was an amazing experience! We had so much fun, and can't believe how much it has impacted our relationship.

I’m 53 years old, and still learning about myself. Why I do what I do, how can I fully love myself and others, and living an authentic life.

I think I feel more empowered after my session. Like, if I can be naked and vulnerable in fort of a camera lens and love myself, I can do anything.

We are our own worst critics and I think this session really helped me go outside my comfort zone and understand that

I am beautiful and I did it for me.

I have never been a sexual or affectionate person because I get so down on myself. This experience let me pause and look at how unique and special I am in my own way.

I felt lost. Utterly lost. I was spiraling. But my son, husband, family and friends kept me grounded. I grew closer with my relationship with God and picked myself up. Then, Molly offered her Black Friday Sale and I knew I needed it. I loved my first session, but it wasn't enough. 30 minutes is not enough for a full experience with Molly. I knew I had to save what I could to make it happen. And I did.

Oh my God, why did you do this? You're going to walk in there shaking and not be able to get through the day. What kind of excuse can I come up with to not have to go?

You can be both naughty and nice. Has he always been Nice, or is he atoning for a Naughty past? What kind of woman is Mrs. Claus, that she puts up with the Jolly Old Elf and his stressful life? What would their intimate life be like? What is Santa like when he is at home and lets his beard down? And what has he got UNDER that suit?

I thought I'd be freaking out, and I just remember thinking to myself that I felt safe, I was having fun, and I felt calm.

I had so many unexpected emotions, but the one I didn’t expect was anger! It felt amazing to express that in such a powerful way. I also realized that it's ok to speak up for myself, and to always want better for myself.

I did not expect it, but it has had a very lasting effect on me, even now several months later. A feeling of confidence, appreciation of myself, and it is just a lot of fun to remember. This experience turned into much more than just a photo shoot.
